ABSTRACT
The
study is set to bring into limelight, (The Impact of Public enlightenment Programme
on the Audience, using “Saturday Special” programme aired regularly on the
Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo state (B.C.O.S). Ibadan as a case study. The
result of the study indicates that television plays a forerunner role in
disseminating information and enlightening the audience globally, more so, transforming
life’s of youths. The methods of data collection are through the survey method
with the questionnaire used as the measuring instrument. The data collection
was presented using Chi-square test and table and it was finally analyzed to
answer the hypothesis. It also reshapes the peoples’ behavior by educating and
informing them on vital issues.
